Help Make Jake's Bedroom a Work of Art!
My name is Hugh Rose, founder and director of Arts for Impact LBG, and I am an Illustrator and Toy Designer. I met Jake through Frossard Children's Ward, Princess Elizabeth Hospital, where I have been the Artist in Residence since January 2016. Jake has a palliative heart condition, which means he has to spend most of his time in his bedroom at home, and his freedom to play outdoors and go on holidays is very limited. With this project, I would like to turn Jake’s bedroom into a stunning work of art that brings all of the things he enjoys to his doorstep! With your help, I can cover the costs of getting the artwork professionally printed and installed in Jake’s room.
Jake is just one example of the many brave individuals whose stories I have heard while working within the Health and Social Care Services. If we surpass this goal, we will be able to offer even more help to these patients by creating bespoke artwork that supports their recovery, good health and wellbeing. All contributors will receive update emails with images of the finished projects.
